How it works

1. 1Upload the statement PDF, digital or scanned, from any bank.
2. 2Arkrel totals every row against the opening and closing balance printed on the statement, including each running balance where printed.
3. 3Download QuickBooks CSV, Xero CSV, OFX, Excel, CSV or JSON, with any reconciliation mismatch shown. The results identify the affected transaction numbers when running-balance checks locate them.

That figure describes statement retention; it isn't a confirmed CSV or Excel transaction-export window, so the export option inside your own Navy Federal account shows what's currently available for a spreadsheet download.

When to convert the PDF instead

Once you're past whatever window your account's own export option currently offers, or you're catching up a year or more of bookkeeping from statements a client handed you, the monthly PDF statement is what you actually have to work with.

QuickBooks Online can extract some PDF and image bank statements directly, and Xero can import a PDF bank statement for eligible US and Canadian organizations, excluding Xero Ledger. Choose an import route for your Navy Federal statements based on the files and account history you need to add. If you choose Arkrel, you can prepare years of older Navy Federal statements, a mix of scanned and digital files, several statements at once, or any PDF whose rows you want totaled against its own printed balances before it goes into your books.
