Terms of Service

Last updated October 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you (or the company you represent, "you" or "Customer") and Conecta Media LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Arkrel", "we", "us"), doing business as Arkrel. They govern your use of the Arkrel API, dashboard, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Arkrel accepts documents you upload or send us (invoices, receipts, purchase orders, bank statements, delivery notes, and custom document types you define), extracts structured data from them, runs automated checks against that data (for example, confirming that line items sum to the stated subtotal, or that a bank statement's opening balance plus its transactions equals the closing balance), and returns the result to you through the API, the dashboard, or a webhook you configure.

Every document you send us reaches one of these end states: succeeded, partial, needs_review, or failed. We do not leave a document in an unresolved state indefinitely, and any status other than succeeded comes with a specific, machine-readable reason.

2. Accounts and API Keys

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and API keys. API keys are shown to you once, in full, at the time you create them; after that we only store a hash of the key and cannot show it to you again. If a key is lost or compromised, revoke it from the dashboard and issue a new one. You are responsible for activity that happens under your API keys until you revoke them.

3. Your Documents and Data

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the data we extract from them ("Your Data"). You give us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Data solely to provide the Service to you, including running extraction, running checks, delivering results and webhooks, and providing customer support at your request.

We do not use Your Data to train machine learning models, ours or anyone else's, and we do not sell Your Data. See the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum for more detail on how we handle personal data.

By default, documents and extracted results are deleted automatically 30 days after processing. Paid plans can set a shorter or longer retention window, from 1 to 90 days, in account settings. You can also delete any document on demand.

4. Deleting Your Account and Exporting Your Data

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings, with no need to contact us. A typed confirmation and a fresh password or two-factor check are required first. If you are the only member of your organization, deletion removes your documents, extraction results, transactions, categorization data, rules, tax-year data, share links, API keys, and webhooks, and any active subscription is canceled immediately. Access ends immediately. If a refund for that business is still being processed, we finish it first and then delete everything, automatically. If you own an organization alongside other members, you must transfer ownership or delete the organization first; a member of a team can leave it and delete their own account without affecting the rest of the team.

You can also download a copy of everything Arkrel has for your organization, at any time, from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on both.

5. Acceptable Use

You will not use the Service to process protected health information (PHI) or other medical records, or for any purpose that violates our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms.

6. Plans, Billing, and Overage

Free includes one statement, with no card required. Catch-Up costs $599 one time per tax year, per business, for 12 months of access, with up to 3,000 pages of statements and receipts for that year. Autopilot costs $59 per month with up to 1,500 pages a month. There is no free trial. Page packs are 100 pages for $9, 500 pages for $29, or 2,000 pages for $79. After included pages and pack credits are used, buy a pack to continue uploading.

Business is not currently offered. Existing Business entitlements keep 5,000 pages a month and metered overage at $15 per started block of 1,000 pages after included pages and pack credits are used. Developer API and existing AppSumo code terms are unchanged. Payments are processed through Stripe.

30-day money-back guarantee from payment settlement. Your first eligible refund is automatic and in full if you have not downloaded, exported or shared a paid report from that business since paying. Otherwise, and for a second request from the same account or card, we review it by hand.

Deliverables are tax report PDF or CSV downloads, accountant CSV downloads, QuickBooks/Xero/OFX accountant exports from the dashboard, categorized statement-set exports, data ZIP downloads containing these reports, and accountant share links. A download counts when our server releases the file. A paid report from any tax year counts for payments already settled in that business. Viewing merchant review or My year, downloading original uploads, and raw Developer API extraction results do not count.

Request refunds from Billing. A successful Catch-Up refund locks that purchased tax year again. A successful Autopilot first-charge refund cancels that subscription immediately. You can otherwise cancel your subscription from Billing and keep access through the paid period. Account deletion cancels immediately without an automatic refund or proration. See our Refund Policy.

Stripe early fraud warnings can result in an automatic refund and removal of access bought with that payment. For a subscription payment, the subscription is canceled immediately without proration credit.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment through your card issuer, access bought with that payment is suspended while the chargeback is open. If the dispute is resolved in our favor, we restore that access and any unused pages, with their original expiration dates. Refunded payments do not regain access.

7. Webhooks and Third-Party Destinations

If you configure a webhook URL, we will send event notifications to that URL and sign each request so you can verify it came from us. You are responsible for the security and correctness of any endpoint you point a webhook at. We will not send webhook events to a private or internal network address.

8. Service Level and Support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Support is provided by email at support@arkrel.com.

9. Intellectual Property

Arkrel, the Arkrel logo, and the underlying software, extraction models, and verification logic are owned by Conecta Media LLC. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as described here.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is." Automated document extraction and verification can still contain errors, especially on low-quality scans, unusual layouts, or handwriting. We flag anything we cannot verify with a specific reason rather than guessing silently, but you are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them for financial, tax, legal, or regulatory purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conecta Media LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including the Acceptable Use Policy, and do not cure the breach after notice, or immediately if your use creates a security or legal risk to us or to other customers.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify account owners by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@arkrel.com.

Multiple Businesses

One login can create and belong to multiple businesses. Each business has its own books, reports, billing, email-in address, API keys, share links and bank connections. The free statement allowance is per person across all businesses.

In Settings, you can delete a business where you are its sole owner and member, or leave a business if another owner remains. Your login and other businesses stay available. To remove your only business, use account deletion. Whole-account deletion covers every business where you are the sole member and removes your memberships in other businesses, subject to the ownership requirements above.

Data export creates a separate archive for every business you belong to. You receive one email when every export has finished. The email reports each outcome: ready, failed, expired or deleted. Downloads require current membership in the relevant business and expire seven days after each archive is ready.

Catch-Up access and unused pages expire 12 months after payment settlement. After expiry, that year locks for uploads, processing, edits, My year, reports, exports, downloads and accountant share links. An active Autopilot plan covering that year or a Catch-Up repurchase restores access. A repurchase starts a fresh 12 months and 3,000 pages. Files you already downloaded are yours. A won dispute restores only the original expiry date.
